Reading This Poem
I know you are reading this poem
early in the morning
when the sun jumps out of the horizon
the last trace of dark fading away
a new day starts. I know you are reading this poem
standing up on the patio
enjoying the scent of the grass
while the birds singing.
I know you are reading this poem
on your journey to the seas
where the sky the limit meets with the ocean
but you cannot leave yet. I know you are reading this poem
as the bus coming in the dust
towards a new destination
you have never been.
I know you are reading this poem by the light
in the dark basement under a candle
which burns herself to bring you happiness.
I know you are reading this poem on a plane
where strangers meet and separate.
I know you are reading this poem by the tombs
in the graveyard, think of the deceased who
left us in moan and tears. I know
you are reading this poem through your glasses, years of hard work has taken away most of your eyesight
because every work is priceless.
I know you are reading this poem to your family
in the warm living room
looking for the truth and joy
I know you are reading this poem because there is nothing else left to read
where you see nothing but yourself.
